1. Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Development Analytics is seeking a qualified junior Arabic speaking researcher to support their research projects related to the Syrian Refugee situation in Turkey on a part-time or full-time basis. The researcher is expected to get involved in a research and evaluation projects related to programs supporting refugees in the Turkey. This position requires flexibility regarding travel.
2. Duties & Key Responsibilities
The following activities may be part of either or both aspects of the Qualitative Researcher’s roles:
(1) Conducting, coding, analysing, and reporting qualitative data,
(2) Coordinating the field activities,
(3) Managing survey field work, including planning, logistics, hiring, training, supervising daily survey activities and monitoring,
(4) Preparing grant and project proposals for potential projects
(5) Maintaining records of project activities – where necessary – and write reports for donors and stakeholders
3. Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
(1) A bachelor's degree or higher in social policy, sociology, anthropology, social work, or related field
(2) High level of proficiency in English and Arabic, knowledge of Turkish is an asset
(3) Strong oral and written communication skills
(4) Ability and experience conducting in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with refugees
(5) Proficiency in using qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo is desirable
(6) Proven ability to assist in writing scientific manuscripts and outcomes research reports
(7) Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools
(8) The right candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
