Tuğba Bozçağa, Ph.D.

Political Scientist, Research Associate

Dr. Tuğba Bozçağa’s research focuses on comparative political economy and the political economy of development, specifically in local governance, bureaucracy, distributive politics, social welfare, and migration. She utilises a combination of quasi-experimental statistical designs, novel data sources, fieldwork, archival research-informed hypotheses, and research designs to study these topics in the Middle East context.


Dr. Tuğba Bozçağa is an Assistant Professor in Politics and Political Methodology at King's College London. She earned her PhD in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2020. She holds an MA from Central European University, with a fellowship from the Open Society Foundations, and a BA in Economics from Boğaziçi University.
