Dr. Gökçe Uysal is is a labour economist with focus on the economics of gender, the economics of education, and household savings. Her recent research centres on the labour market integration of Syrians in Turkey, leading a comprehensive assessment for the International Youth Foundation on identifying sectors with strong labour demand to facilitate the integration of young Syrians. Currently, she is the Labour Market Research Coordinator at Labour, Training and Skills Development | Travail, Formation et Développement des compétences, in Canada. She has contributed articles to prestigious journals such as the Journal of Economic Growth, Social Indicators Research, and the International Journal of Educational Development. She received her PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Rochester. She holds her BA degree from Galatasaray University.
